A) Simplification oh the
acquisition process
All orders issued for the acquisition of class “C” materials
(circa 20-30% of the total number of orders) come down to
12 orders/day, one a month for T. on line .
Also the invoices for
those orders come down to 12 invoices T.
on line /year. The register of suppliers comes down drastically
and substitutes the various suppliers of class “C” materials with
a single supplier T.
on line . |

B) Reduction of process cost
•
Lower management costs because of a reduced number of orders. The management
of an acquisition order, on average, involves a cost for the company varying
from 100 to 200 Euro/order.
• Lower management costs because of a reduced number of supplier invoices. For
each invoice there is a management cost, on average, varying from 30 to 50 Euro/invoice.

C)
Reduction of issuing time for orders and material
deliveries
The time needed for issuing orders might
reduce drastically from the actual average time of
2 ÷ 3
weeks to 1 or 2 days, according to the authorization procedure
in place in the customer's company. This allows a proportional
reduction of delivery times for the materials ordered. |
